Can the Get SAT terminal be used internationally?

The Get SAT terminal can be used internationally, provided the chosen satellite communication service is global. In other scenarios, the coverage area is determined by the selected satellite provider coverage area. Get SAT terminals to use fast-tracking technologies to enable quick and seamless communications transfer from one satellite to another, thereby creating easy access to broadband services for airborne, ground, and maritime on-the-move applications.

How can the terminal be installed on vehicles?

The terminal can be installed on any flat surface with only 4 screws. Get SAT can provide mounting solutions such as: Magnet kit- 4 powerful magnets with all accessories needed, in addition to ratchets to secure the installation if needed Installation mount to be used with screws

Is the modem part of the terminal or external?

Get SAT supports internal integrated modem which enables all in one solution and external rigid modems.

Which satellite network constellations are supported, GEO/MEO/LEO?

We support GEO constellation of various satellite providers, such as Inmarsat Global Xpress and SES / O3B, Intelsat Flex, and MEO constellations such as O3B.

Do you have MIL-STD-810 certification?

Our products have been tested in a certified lab and are qualified for MIL-STD-810 Get SAT’s terminals are fully compliant and meet Mil-Std 810. The terminals have been proven to operate in Low & High Temperature, Blowing Sand, Altitude, Humidity, Salt Fog, Water Jet IPX6, Dust IP6X, Vibration, Functional Shock.

Where can I download the installation manual and ICD for the terminal?

The terminal’s ICD and a manual can be found in the USB provided with the terminal (in the Pelican case). They can also be downloaded from the Get SAT Partner Portal, or you can contact support@getsat.com and they will be able to provide you with the manual and ICD.

Can you provide on-site support and/or installation and integration if needed?

We can provide on-going support, and support in the initial installation and integration.

Can you support end to end project management?

We can provide end-to-end solutions including the terminal, modem, satellite bandwidth, support in installation and integration, and ongoing support.

Get SAT system will not find or lock on to the satellite. What should I do?

There are several possibilities that could explain why the system will not find the satellite. Satellite signal blocked: Satellite signals can be blocked or degraded by buildings, other vehicles, or equipment. Check if the antenna has a clear view of the sky. Outside of satellite coverage zone: Get SAT systems provide excellent reception within the antenna coverage area for your satellite service. However, the strength of satellite signal may be degraded as you approach the edges of coverage zone. Incorrect or loose RF connections: As part of the regular maintenance Get SAT recommends all connections should be checked to ensure that they have not become loose. A loose RF connector can reduce signal quality. Incorrect satellite information: Incorrect satellite information (i.e., transponder frequency, symbol rate, or orbital position) will result the antenna tracking function failed. Satellite information may be changed from time to time due to the satellite operator program.
