Advanced Electronic Steerable Antennas: A Key to Multi-Orbit Connectivity

Tel Aviv, Israel, 21 November 2023 – In an exciting development for space-based communication infrastructure, Get SAT, a world leader in Electronic Steerable Antennas (ESA), is proud to announce its role as a pivotal partner in the recently awarded project by the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to SES Space & Defense.

Under the framework of the Defense Experimentation Using Commercial Space Internet (DEUCSI) program, Get SAT will deliver more than 60 terminals from its renowned Sling Blade family of Electronic Steerable Antennas (ESA). These ESA terminals, characterized by their innovative technology and adaptability, are instrumental in achieving the project’s goals of integrating satellite communication services across a multi-orbit satellite network.

The DEUCSI program underscores the U.S. military’s foresight in capitalizing on the unique advantages of multiple commercial space internet (CSI) constellations. The project’s design aims to enable seamless communication with military platforms across various orbits – GEO Orbit (GEO), Medium Earth Orbit (MEO), and Low Earth Orbit (LEO).

Get SAT’s involvement signifies the value of its cutting-edge technology in shaping the future of airborne and ground based communications. By delivering the Sling Blade family terminals, Get SAT underscores its commitment to supporting projects that further the cause of network-centric military operations in today’s contested and congested space environment.

Kfir Benjamin, Get SAT CEO, commented, “We are honored to partner with SES Space & Defense and be an integral part of this visionary project by the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory. Our Sling Blade ESA terminals are designed to meet the dynamic challenges of today’s space communication needs. With initiatives like the DEUCSI program, we are at the threshold of a revolution in military communication.”
